I am indebted to D.F. McNelly for introducing me to the most extraordinary music store on the planet, the great, great House of Guitars in Irondequoit, N.Y., at 645 Titus Avenue. The first postcard was sent from the HOG by J.C. Hoffmeier, and is titled, “The House of Guitars for the Rising Young Stars from Earth.” The second postcard features a photo by S.L. Wendell.
