Apparently in the world of Albert Lynch (1851-1912) the arrival of fresh flowers was important as the steeping of the tea. Born in Lima, Peru, Lynch settled in Paris and studied at l’École des Beaux-Arts and carried forth the spirit of the Belle Époque. He also illustrated books, including Lady of the Camellias by Alexandre Dumas, fils, Le Père Goriot by Honoré de Balzac and La Parisienne by Henry Becque.

The first painting is one of the nicest I’ve seen in a while. Thanks for sharing.
