Leake Leaving for War

Art by Gerald Leake (1885-1975), a British-born artist. He studied at the Royal Academy in London but spent much of his career in New York. In addition to his painting, he created advertising art and illustrations for novels as well as magazines like McClure’s, Harper’s, Hearst’s International, The Strand, Century, Good Housekeeping, American, Wide World, Everybody’s and St. Nicholas.
