Young Women’s Voices

“Evening. For about an hour after dinner tonight 1906 sang to 1905 with a few songs and cheers from all the classes. 1906 sat on the floor and windowseat of the first big landing of the stairs here in East and 1905 stood above against the railing facing them. It was simply indescribable. All the Oral songs and supper songs and rush songs were given and one or two solos with choruses.”

— Marianne Moore in a letter from Bryn Mawr to Mary Warner Moore and John Warner Moore, November 2, 1905
