If, if & if…

UFO Stamps

If German scientists had managed to build flying saucers before the end of World War II, and if the development had turned the tide of the war in Germany’s favor, and if, in the years that followed, the German post office had issued a commemorative stamp to celebrate the saucers’ role in that nation’s triumph, the stamps might have looked like these. However, these stamps are based on the artwork of Jim Nichols, a UFO illustrator and researcher, and are “cinderella stamps,” imaginary postage, unofficial but imaginative works by a second, unknown artist who thought three “ifs” into the game.
